The temple features 300-year-old weeping cherrytrees, and a Miroku figure carved on a rock wall.

Akame 48 Waterfalls (Japan Salamander Center)

Containing many waterfalls, the area is renowned as a place where Iga ninja used to train themselves. Also, you can view salamanders, a species known as a living fossil.

Cherry Trees in Nabari Central Park

The park is filled with approximately 800 Yoshino cherry trees that are around 25 years old. You will surely be impressed by a 600 m long tunnel of cherry blossoms. These blossoms are also superb at night.

Strawberry Picking at Shorenji Lake Tourism Village

You can have as many tasty strawberries as you like.

Cherry Trees in Country Park Oko

This park is known as one of the film locations for "ManHunt" directed by John Woo. A wedding scene was shot with 200 cherry trees in full bloom.

Weeping Cherry Treein the Daisho-ji Temple Ruins

You are sure to be overwhelmed by the cascade of flowers blossoming on the branches spreading in all directions.This tree is said to be more than 300 years old.

1,000-Year-Old Cherry Tree at Butsuryu-ji Temple

This historic temple is said to have been established by Kenne, one of Kukai’s most respected disciples. On stonesteps leading up to the temple is an old tree which hassunk its roots deep in the ground. The view of this reportedly 900-year old tree is truly breathtaking.

Weeping Cherry Trees at Hozo-ji Temple

It is said that when Toyotomi Hideyoshi held a cherry-viewing party at Daigo-ji Temple in 1598, he had cherry trees sent from Hozo-ji Temple. Cherry trees related to those that pleased the eyes of Hideyoshi continue to bloom beautifully at Hozo-ji Temple.

Maruyama Park

The entire hill is colored pale pink by more than 100 wild cherry trees. These trees include some that are more than 100 years old. In addition, around the park are historic sites associated with Yamato-hime-no-mikoto and Kukai.

Byobuiwa Sheer Cliffs

In the garden is an approximately 200 m high cliff with columnar jointing, resembling a saw with sharp teeth. At the foot of the rock wall, large wild cherry trees bloom beautifully, presenting a marvelous contrast with the wall.

Okame Hot Spring, Soni Highland

From the facility’s open-air baths, you can enjoy dynamic panoramas of Mt. Yoroi, Mt. Kabuto, and Byobuiwa Rock, all of which have been designated national natural monuments. The views are sure to relieve the fatigue of climbers.
