Ryuogabuchi Pond

Ryuogabuchi / 龍王ヶ渕

Hidden in the mountains of Muro, Uda City, at an elevation of 530 meters, Ryuogabuchi is a serene natural pond near Mt. Nukaidake, often called the “Mt. Fuji of Yamato.” On calm, sunny days, the pond becomes a mystical “water mirror,” reflecting the surrounding trees and sky on its still surface. This breathtaking scenery draws photographers throughout the year—especially in winter, when the air is crisp and the reflections are especially vivid.
