Lake Hinachi was formed by the construction of the Hinachi Dam on the Nabari River. The lake is surrounded by scenic mountains and offers recreational activities to local residents. There is a park and observatory in the vicinity for visitors to enjoy.
During springtime, around 70 cherry trees are in full bloom, and one of the water parks has a cherry tree that is the sister of the famous cherry tree at Japan Mint in Osaka. Lake Hinachi is also a popular spot for viewing fireflies during the summer season.
