Every autumn, a retro alley within the historic townscape of Uda-Matsuyama will be decorated with colorful dahlia flowers.
Uda is one of Japan’s biggest producers of dahlia flower bulbs, and flowers used in this project are from farmers’ blossom-thinning to make bulbs bigger. Locals started to use these flowers to revitalize the community.
Don't miss this special scenery! Night illumination will be also worth seeing. If you would like to join the event as a volunteer, you can help place flowers on Saturday morning (starting at 9:30 a.m.), and also remove them on Sunday afternoon (starting at 4:00 p.m.). You can take these flowers home at the end of the event.
