Lantern Lighting Festival is held in the historic townscape of Uda-Matsuyama in late August. Uda-Matsuyama was developed as a castle town, and the area retains the atmosphere of those days. During this event, the historic buildings are beautifully lit up, and the atmosphere in this area feels completely different at night. You can feel the cool breeze of autumn’s approach as you stroll through the lights. This is the perfect event to round off summer.

Access: From Kintetsu Haibara Station, take a bus bound for ‘Ouda’ and get off at the final stop ‘Ouda’. Uda-Matsuyama area is within a walking distance of the bus stop.
