Around 600 Somei Yoshino cherry trees line the approximately 5-kilometer road encircling Shorenji Lake. In spring, the blossoms bloom in abundance, surrounding the lakeshore in soft shades of pink and creating a beautiful contrast against the calm waters.
One of the highlights is the road leading to the viewpoint parking area overlooking the dam embankment. Here, the mountainsides are washed in delicate pink, offering a relaxing hanami (cherry blossom viewing) experience amid magnificent natural scenery.
During cherry blossom season, you can also enjoy strawberry picking nearby—no reservation required. Why not stop by and make it part of your spring drive?
